Woodlynne Farm Alpacas is home to 44 alpacas and 3 guard llamas who religiously protect our herd in various paddocks. We breed and raise quality ARI registered Huacaya alpacas. As were are approaching retirement we wanted to get into a lifestyle that would continue to be rewarding as we slowed down the pace of our careers and we have both found that we could not be happier with the decision to raise alpacas. Although not fully retired, alpacas have become our life and something we have found that we can do together and continue to find a sense of achievement with these wonderful animals as we go into plans of retiring from a fast-paced corporate life.
We started becoming involved with alpacas when our first two alpacas (and one guard llama) arrived at our farm in the early part of 2004. Although we have horses, we had no idea what we were doing but that we had a long-term plan of doing it right if we were going to get into it! The farm where we first bought – a smaller farm as well – provided us with advise and consultation which helped us tremendously along our way.
Over the years, we have made it a priority to breed for the very best quality alpacas along with a strong health regiment to ensure that every alpaca at Woodlynne Farm is strong and healthy...whether it is one of our show winning animals, our guard llamas and certainly our crias ...all of our animals are ensured of getting what they need whenever necessary.
Today, our championship genetics come from many famous alpacas who include: 4Peruvian Legacy, Jericho, Kryptonite, Snowmass Nova, Dom Lucilio, Royal Fawn, Bueno, Felix, Caligula, Peruvian Dom Timbo, ScF Chewbacca, Silver Legend of KPR, Zephyrus, 6Peruvian Itabuna, Predictor, Nova’s Victoria, Moustacchio, Titan’s Clash, Casanova, Rayo Del Sol and more.
